The context
CEFA works in Kenya since 2005 in projects related to justice and human rights protection in prisons.
The situation in Kenya requires lots of effort to contribute in eradicating all forms of torture, ill treatment and human rights violations within the Criminal and Juvenile Justice System.
Our objective
CEFA aims to strengthen and support the Human Rights Defence organs (HRDs) and national security to help them on the promotion of reforms that would safeguard prisoners. Moreover we offer a continuous training to the prisons’ staff.
Our intervention
CEFA (The European Committee for Training and Agriculture) is the project lead partner and will coordinate the consortium and monitor the activities. Due to its long term experience working on Juvenile Justice, it supports the management and coordination of Justice System Agencies; coordinates the organisation of public events and parades, as well as national and international conferences on Human Rights.
